This is especially awesome for when you buy spices in bulk and end up with a bunch of little plastic bags everywhere (ok, that could just be me.)

I actually found some amber jars with lids for less expensive than the little tins. Now I need to make this rack for sure.

(Great tip about the waterproof paper for the labels. I just did a quick Google search and found waterproof ink jet labels. Sweet!)

I am seriously making one of these for my kitchen, my husband has sooo many spice bottles and even in the spice rack they are all so unsightly! This is a wonderful idea, thanks!!!

Cute! When I moved all my spices into tins a while back, I printed the labels on this awesome waterproof map paper I got at an outdoors store. Then you can even wash them!

I am very impressed. I DO cook, and currently have the bottom shelves of two upper kitchen cabinets, two shelves of one of those “inside the pantry door” wire racks, a kitchen drawer, part of a shelf on the stainless back splash over the stove, AND a couple of plastic shoe boxes filled with my various herbs and spices. I obviously will need to have several of these, or some sort of modification, but I’m looking at saving LOTS of space if I just order 50 of those tins! Thanks for a great idea.

If you clink on the phrase “seamless tins” in the Supplies list, it will take you to a source – nicely sized tins, only $0.99 each if you buy 25+, $1.09 if you buy 1-24 tins.

If you buy 25 tins (like I did), they’re only 99 cents each. Much cheaper than The Container Store.
