Sarahfina - I wondered if that mailbox was DIYable too, but I think the reason I love it so much is the shiny sleek metal. I don't know how to work with metal—yet. But you could easily make a cute one out of paper or cardboard or wood veneer... Meream - I agree, a bronze mailbox (maybe with some leather trim?) would be "deliciously steampunk." It's technically a children's chapter book, but it's thick and with some wonderful illustrations. And keeps you reading cause you just have to find out what is going on and will happen next.
