This is probably one of my favorite tutorials. It's a great idea, and one I'll probably need in the future. I don't have enough tools right now to need one, but that will probably (hopefully!) change as I get crafting this summer and later on.

On a side note, I have a small dresser right now that needs a drawer bottom replaced. It's the perfect size for my small wardrobe, but that drawer is so gross that I've been putting off filling it. Now I can fix it and get my laundry room cleaned out! Thanks for the tips on that one.

Just stumbled across Craftynest, and I LOVE this idea! I'm wondering, though, would a regular dresser like this work for my husband's power tools (ex: drills, power saw, sanders, etc)? Or do the drawers need to be reinforced for things that heavy?

I would not have gone through all that trouble to make the thing look like a tool storage unit. It's very industrial, but I guess if that's what you like...

Kim - I did replace the loose, bent nails that were holding the shelves with sturdier screws, but I didn't apply additional reinforcement. They seem to be holding well, but I haven't overloaded the drawers—mostly because they would be too heavy to pull out.
