My daughter is expecting a daughter in March & has just picked out the bedding for the nursery & I think these lamps would look beautiful in the baby's room! The bedding has a floral design in a dark and light lavender with touches of raspberry and lime so I will make them to match using mostly white but will add small touches of the other colors -- ooooh & maybe butterflys! & ribbons! My paper lantern is an off-white colour, oblong and with an opening in the bottom. White flowers are so elegant and sophisticated-looking. Someone asked about adding colour. I would use one other colour of the same flower; for poinsettias it would be red. And replace random white ones with the red. I'll have to see what flowers I can find. I do have several but they are all different types and colours. So glad I found your blog. Am in the midst of making the cork mat for my kitchen. I’m in Canada.
