I told you I have a lot of doilies from my great-grandmother. I decided to frame a few more for Christmas. I bought these 12-inch square collage frames at Michael’s. I replaced the mats with $1/yard Walmart fabric. I love how the doilies look like snowflakes. (That monster wall heater is the sole—and inefficient—source of warmth in my drafty apartment. Maybe I should knit some mittens next—to wear indoors.) Merry Christmas everyone!

I love this idea. It looks beautiful. The white looks so crisp against the red.

I love it! Wish I had some “snowflake doilies!” I clicked your Christmas tag looking for some Christmas projects but unfortunately this one won’t work for me. Great idea though!

What a talented great-grandmother you had !! I love the way you have displayed these pieces and the fact that you cherish them and take such good care of them. Merry Christmas and a very healthy, prosperous New Year !

I have a few patterns for crocheted wristlets/fingerless gloves that I have found so nice around the house! They keep hands a warm but–unlike mittens–fingers are not covered so are free for any task that might require mittens to be removed. Email me (ladeej151@gmail.com) and I can send them to you.
