I know what you’re thinking: Where’s the “after” photo? Well, I’m in the midst of finals this week, so no time for crafting. This is a project that I’ll be working on during the coming weeks. Here’s what I plan to add to this dilapidated $10 dresser: paint, new drawer pulls and side handles, casters, wooden drawer dividers, and lift-out trays. The result? A rolling tool cabinet. Can’t wait to finish it. Next week: I’ve got another wooden window frame, and I know how to use it. Hint: It’s not a mirror.

You have me hooked – this is one that even I would pass over, and I am known for my ‘cheap crappy dresser’ fetish

OOOH! I love it; I can’t wait to see the after photo.
These types of projects are my fave! I just made a dog bed out of an old tv (the ones in the wooden boxes, you know?).
Check it out, if you’d like:

What a neat sounding project. I love dressers. I used to have a lot of dressers and now we only have one. We also live in a 5th floor condo without a garage to store extra dressers LOL Can’t wait to see your AFTER!

I’ve just stumbled across your blog for the first time – a fellow ‘battered old chest of drawers’ afficionado – hooray!

Mimi – I plan to post updates on this project every week because it will take me more than one week to complete. This Wednesday will be my window project, so please come back Wednesday, then check for an update on the dresser next week. Thanks for visiting!
