I haven’t finished this week’s project yet, so here’s a sneak peek. I picked up this table curbside last year. The top was weathered and warped, and the base was rusted but sturdy. Then I found these French bistro chairs at Ikea, a replacement tabletop at The Home Depot, and exterior paint on Freecycle. I decided to paint the set to match—but not just any paint job. Problem is, the oil-based paint is taking forever to dry, so please check back next week to see the reveal.

Looks like a great match! Can’t wait to see the final reveal. What type of table top did you replace with?

Hmm…I have to say, as a loyal follower who doesn’t always comment on your fabulous ideas, I’m not a huge fan of the ads at the bottom of the blog entries. I know it takes money to support this site, and do the crafting, but is there any way you could maybe move those ads to a less distracting spot?

Laura – Point taken. I’ll give it some thought. Thanks.

Thanks monica! Like I said, I know it takes money to keep doing what you do, so I’ll understand if they remain. It was just some thought. I can’t wait to see the completion of this project!
